Description:
Camp Don Bosco is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains on the edge of the Snoqualmie River Valley. The natural setting of Don Bosco includes : hiking trails, playing fields, seasonal outdoor swimming pool, outdoor chapel and a low ropes challenge course.
The facilities at Camp Don Bosco accommodates 150 people overnight. The main dining hall provides an large industrial kitchen for groups to cook their own meals, or hire our catering service. All of the facilities are located within easy walking distance of one another, with the exception of the Fire Circle and Cabrini Outdoor Chapel. These two areas are a 5-15 minute hike from main camp.
Purpose:
Camp Don Bosco and Camp Hamilton are owned by the Archdiocese of Seattle and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and seek ultimately to provide a resource to parishes and faith communities serving youth and young adults throughout Western Washington. Although our facilities are open to all nonprofit organizations, priority is given to parishes, schools and faith communities within the Archdiocese of Seattle.
Facilities:
Thunderbird Lodge: Our main meeting hall located in the center of camp, which accommodates up to 175. This is the large meeting hall at the center of camp. Which has bathrooms, a large river rock, a wood burning fireplace and is handicap accessible. Day use of this facility is available only Monday-Friday
Longhouse: The Longhouse holds up to 30 people this is ideal for small retreats that cannot insure exclusive use of the facility. This building has a full kitchen, dining room and separate meeting space with a gas fireplace.
Chapel: The Chapel at Don Bosco is designed for groups to celebrate liturgy, have prayer services and smaller presentations.
D’Amalio Hall: A large industrial kitchen with capabilities of cooking for up to 200 people. This is ideal for group who want to cook their own meals or have CYO catering provide meals for you.
Glacier/Tonga Winterized Cabins: Sleeping quarters for up to 80. This building has 4 rooms of 10 bunks each joined by doorways and connected to one another with a main hallway. Toilets and sinks are available in the center of this building.
Rancheroes/ Winterized Cabins: Sleeping quarters for up to 70 people. The room sizes vary from 1 bunk to 8 depending on location within the building. All rooms are connected by a porch with a bathroom in the middle of the building. The bathroom in this building has toilets, sinks and showers.
