For Parish leaders

1. How can my group help out at Rally?

If your group is interested in being on or off stage the first step for getting involved is to check the Get Involved page for Rally. After that, return your parish leadership form indicating you would like to be involved or contact Bridget Harris at bridget.harris@seattlearch.org or 206-274-3175

2. How do I submit awards?

Award nominations should be sent to the Archdiocese by February 15th.  Information on Submitting awards is available through your leader’s packet

3. When will awards be presented?

The final schedule of award presentations will be made during the week leading up to Rally.  The specific information will be available by emailing bridget.harris@seattlearch.org

Registration

1. What happens if I don’t get a T-shirt?/ How to order extra t-shirts?

T-shirts are available until the t-shirt deadline- although some additional t-shirts will be ordered, we do not guarantee these will be available for you, or in your size.

Youth Ministers have the option of ordering additional t-shirts, by submitting a total and size breakdown for those additional shirts by the t-shirt deadline.  These shirts will be put aside for your group, and your will be obligated for the per shirt cost for each t-shirt you do not use.  Email bridget.harris@seattlearch.org your size requirements by 2.27.12 at 5 pm.

2. Can I make substitutions or cancelations?

Substitutions are allowed until online registration closes.

Cancelations are possible only by calling Rochelle in the OYYAM office (206-382-4562) and will not be possible after the t-shirt deadline.

3. What happens if I don’t like my workshop assignment?

Workshops fill quickly, so each teen is encouraged to register early for Rally to ensure there is space in the desired workshops.  A mega workshop is always an option to attend – but we ask you to attend the workshop you signed up for.

4. What happens if weather affects my ability to attend Rally?

In all of the years of Rally, weather has only forced a cancelation once.  In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel Rally, we will attempt to credit parishes for any money we can recover.  If inclement weather is expected, each person can call 206-274-3175 on the morning of Rally and the outgoing message will indicate Rally’s current and expected status.  This update should take place by 6:00 am.

Each parish is encouraged to use their own best judgment, however refunds can not be issued for parishes who choose not to attend – if Rally is still scheduled.

Event Logistics

1.  Is this an overnight event?

No – Junior High Rally is only a one day event.  For those groups traveling great distance- hotels in the area are available, and some parishes may offer floor space.  However, OYYAM cannot make housing arrangements

2.  What are the meal options?

Lunch is available onsite at the Cafeteria or through one of the many local restaurants

Dinner is not available on campus, however one option is the Knights of Columbus dinner; reservations are required. See flyer for details.

3. Can I have my dinner delivered to Highline?

Additionally Highline Community College has requested parish groups do not bring outside food into the cafeteria, but rather find other places to eat.

If your parish is bringing food or having food delivered – we ask that you not have it delivered to the Gym during mass, but rather find another location to meet your delivery and set up dinner.

4. Where can I park?

Parking is available in all Highline lots, however we recommend People Park in the South Parking Lot, to consolidate the location of the cars.  There will be two reserved spots for Archbishop Sartain, and our other keynotes – we ask you not to park in those locations.

5.  Can I leave valuables in my car?

No – as with all places leaving valuable in your car – especially visible – is very discouraged.  Last year several cars left GPS’s or evidence of a GPS or iPhone in their cars and were broken into.  Please take all valuables out of your car.  OYYAM and Highline are not responsible for valuables which are left unattended, and cannot provide secure storage.

6.  Is there any free time?

We do not have any free time scheduled at Rally.  However we work very hard to ensure our programs have a good balance of fun activities to do.
