Want to be involved in CYO Camping year round? CYO would be nothing without the people who work so hard to deliver great programs and share their faith with the hundreds of campers who come through our programs every year. In addition to seasonal paid positions, we also have volunteer opportunities for people who want to make an additional contribution to CYO Camping throughout the year, or for those who love camping but can’t make the commitment to working a season at camp. Currently, we have several opportunities available to give of your time and talents to help improve our programs and facilities. Please consider volunteering, as your help is vital to our ability to deliver the amazing camp experiences that touch so many lives!
CYO Camping Advisory Committee
This is an opportunity for those who know and love CYO Camping to put their heads together and help offer solutions that are vital to the success of our camping programs! This committee may advise on such things as marketing efforts and program offerings, and other topics of importance. This committee will NOT decide policies or practices, but they will provide valuable input and give voice to those who deliver and participate in our programs. This committee is open to camping alumni, staff alumni, parents of campers, or parents of former campers. To volunteer, we require a committment to a one year term, with the ability to attend 5 out of 6 bi-monthly meetings.

CYO Labor Force
Do you have a knack for fixing things? Do you like to work with your hands, or spend a day in the outdoors working on the lawn? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then we’re looking for you! We’re looking for a pool of dedicated volunteers to help us spruce up camp and help our Rangers keep up with the (long!) list of maintenance needs for our Eastside camps (Hamilton and Don Bosco) in the off season. This opportunity is open to anyone with knowledge of basic maintenance skills, such as painting, mowing lawns, hammering nails, and tightening screws. If you have professional skills as a roofer, plumber, welder, electrician, appliance repair, etc. EVEN BETTER! Volunteers commit to 8 hours of service PER MONTH at either Camp Hamilton or Camp Don Bosco (or both!) for a term of one year. This is an excellent way to stay connected to camp and camp friends (you’ll work together!) all year round. AND, like everything in camp, it will be FUN! Please fill out an application and let us know what you can do!
