Archdiocese of Seattle | Office for Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Young Adult Service Team : Team Members

2011-2012 Team Members

Moses Castro is from Lytle, TX.  He graduated in Decemeber 2010 from Texas State University where he earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Communication Design (Graphic Design).  The past two summers  he led week long Young Disciples Camps in the Diocese of Fargo, North Dakota. He applied to YAST because he really felt a calling to dedicate more of his life to service of the church. Living in Seattle is going to be a major change for him as he’s from San Antonio, Texas, but he is greatly looking forward to this opportunity grow!  Moses is serving in Youth and Retreats Ministry this year.

Jessica Delgehausen is from Rogers, MN.  She graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina in May 2011, with a B.A. in English and minor in Religion, and was also a swimmer on the college team.  She loves reading, creative writing, being active, outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends. She credits her Catholic and ecumenical campus ministry involvement for the inspiration to join the Young Adult Service Team, and to serve specifically in young adult ministry.  Living in community, discerning “the next step,” and tons of faith formation are what Jessica’s most excited about this year!

Mary Emirine “Emmy” Gandeza is from Sunnyvale, CA.  She graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a B.A. in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Action/ B.A. Religious Studies in 2008.  She is from the San Francisco Bay Area which is the home of the World Series Champions, Giants and she loves baseball. A few fun factoids about her: She loves to sing and dance, she knows how to speak 2 languages fluently and can understand and attempt to speak 3 other languages, and she enjoys traveling and immersing herself in culture and languages.  Her faith is at the very core of who she is and she is in constant discernment of what God’s will is and how she can utilize what she’s been given in her life for the well being of others.  Emmy looks forward to the opportunity to serve in Youth and Retreats Ministry.
