Mission of the Youth Ministry Department
The Archdiocesan Youth Ministry Department advocates for youth, families and youth ministry throughout Western Washington by providing resources, support and training to those proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ to youth and families in parishes and schools. Additionally, we provide direct programs designed to support parishes in their evangelization of youth and form disciples within the Catholic Church.
Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (1997)
Renewing the Vision builds on the 1976 document, “A Vision of Youth Ministry”. Renewing the Vision is seen as a “call to make ministry with adolescents a concern for the entire Church community, especially for leaders in parishes, schools, and dioceses.”
