Description:

Camp Hamilton is located near Monroe, Washington and provides groups the perfect opportunity to retreat into the woods.  Camp Hamilton’s natural beauty contains  570 acres of forest, 80 acre Lake Hannon and trails throughout the extensive property.

The facilities at Camp Hamilton accommodate large groups of 150 people overnight or smaller groups of 15-80.  Camp Hamilton is perfectly designed for retreats with 4 separate cabin clusters allowing groups to have space and time of their own.  These cabin cluster can be combined to hold large groups meeting in newly built Discovery Lodge or for groups as small as 15.

Camp Hamilton hosts our Environmental Education Programs, Summer Camp and provides many opportunities for team development, personal growth and enjoyment of the natural settings. Camp Hamilton can prove a High Ropes Course, a low ropes course, retreat facilitation and catering for your event.

Purpose:

Camp Hamilton is owned by the Archdiocese of Seattle and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and seeks ultimately to provide a resource to parishes and faith communities serving youth and young adults throughout Western Washington.  Although our facilities are open to all nonprofit organizations, priority is given to parishes, schools and faith communities within the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Facilities:

Discovery Lodge: Our main meeting hall located in the center of camp, which accommodates up to 200 for meals or meeting space. Discovery Lodge is reserved for groups using CYO’s catering services and provides handicap accessibility, bathroom facilities, a large fire place and spacious setting.  This lodge overlooks Lake Hannon and Mount Store.  Day use of Discovery Lodge is limited in winter and fall and unavailable in Spring and Summer.

Whitaker Retreat Center:  The previous hub of all camp activity, Whitaker long house was recently renovated to provide a full kitchen and meeting and dining space for groups under 50.  This retreat center is paired with Washougal cabins to provide smaller groups a self contained retreat center.  Whitaker Longhouse provides a full kitchen for groups to cook their own food.
